Using the default Meshtastic firmware, I am only able to send messages to the LongFast primary channel. Other nodes using LongFast show up, but i am unable to send messages just to them. I have attempted to type messages when starting on the screen of the node and it defaults to the primary LongFast. Additionally, searching online indicates that I have to hit the "Tab" button to change who I'm sending messages to using the TDeck. There is no tab button. How do I send messages to a specific device?

I don't know about this. I haven't used meshtastic in depth. You can ask questions on the meshtastic forum.

Regarding "Tab" you can use the keyboard shortcut alt+c then type a t when "Fn" shows up in the corner of the screen. Then use the wheel to select the recipient.

I'm experiencing the same issue with sending a message to a specific node.
