Feature Request: Repository of recently generated documents

From Chuck Liesch: It would be nice to have a repository or library of sorts for resource files that have been recently generated. I expect there will be lots of reuse for some docs.

I wonder if this is necessary since DOC has a caching system so that if you request a recently generated document, i.e., within the cache freshness window of duration, then you get the document immediately. Perhaps Chuck requested this not knowing that was the case. If my hunch is correct then this issue could probably be closed. Or, perhaps he had a different reason in mind.
