Been a few years, but I decided to learn Go, and as soon as I figure out how to cast the *int16 that the Go wrapper of SysAllocString() returns to the *byte DeviceIoControl() requires for an input buffer expect a pull request.

You Go! :) Just so you know, I retired five years ago and no longer do any software development. I'm happy to do the merge though as I remember how to click the Merge button! - John
