Use Wikidata API directly rather than rely on api.wikijourney.eu? #101

Wild idea: Why not use the Wikidata API directly?
The Wikidata API is:

  • Very stable, SPARQL syntax and well-established properties
  • Almost never down, unlike api.wikijourney.eu ;-)
  • Always the most up-to-date
  • Probably has all of the information you need
  • Very fast

Wikidata query example around a random point in Japan
The strategy would be to increase the radius if the first request did not return enough POIs.
