Describe the feature you'd like
I found an ariticle about new widget system but 16 years passed have no any progress.

And can we do it with #4057

Describe why do you think it is needed
Is there any plan about it?

I wish I could.

That interface looks like a definite improvement!

Very good find, I saw that some years ago on the WZ forums as well.
The point about using Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), becomes much more useful these days with such different resolutions in screens. "In order to get those we need to convert the existing raster graphics into scalable vector graphics by hand and I have done most of this work already." - I'd like to see where those files are, we'll need them.
I tried giving that a go myself and the results weren't that good on my end.

Ideally IMO, providing this UI change along with the ArtRev Mod as a simple menu feature to Enable / Disable would be a game changer. Purely all cosmetic, so I see no obvious blockers in that respect.

As you noted, that post was about a mockup from some 16 years ago.

While I’m not aware of anyone working on that specific proposal, there are plans for various continued interface improvements. (They are just unlikely to look specifically like that mockup, although it’s neat to look at and contains some very interesting additions to the information displayed.)

If someone wanted to implement alternative interface graphics images, for example, that’s doable today with a mod. But since there are no current plans to implement this particular mockup, I’m going to close this issue for now.
