We recommend using RockyLinux 8.8, Ubuntu 22.04 (jammy), Debian 12 (bookworm) as the base OS for Pigsty. While any EL 7,8,9 / Ubuntu 20.04,22.04 / Debian 11/12 compatible OS Distribution should work.

• ⭐️ PostgreSQL 15 is currently the Major supported version with full extension support.
• ⭐ PostgreSQL 16 is the major support candidate, will be promoted when ready.
• ⚠️ EL7 Does not have an official PostgreSQL 16 support, and will EOL in 2024.
• ⚠️ Ubuntu & Debian support is introduced in Pigsty v2.5.0, use with caution.
