Can I use uCaresystem in WSL of Windows 10/11 ?

When I use uCareSystem in WSL, I currently gives error

Error getting authority: Error initializing authority: Could not connect: No such file or directory

Is there a way to make it compatible with WSL ?

Yes you can actually use uCareSystem in WSL, but with a workaround. You need to manually remove a line in the code
Open a terminal and then run the following command to change the first line in the script:

sudo sed -i '1 s|^#!/usr/bin/pkexec /bin/bash$|#!/bin/bash|' /usr/bin/ucaresystem-core

What the above command does is that it replaces the
#!/usr/bin/pkexec /bin/bash
with:
#!/bin/bash
and then you can run it with:

sudo ucaresystem-core

The minor problem with this workaround is that, a future update of uCareSystem, will revert back to the original line of code and you will have to run it again :)

The workaround is not needed any more as of #30 release which indirectlly addresses this issue
