I love the mission of the project! Very much the flavor of https://keybase.io

https://github.com/Uniswap/sybil-list/blob/master/README.md specifies this is a manual process. Instead of reinventing the wheel, would it be possible to use keybase itself to do this? Possibly by adding the ability to prove an ethereum address via on chain msg to keybase itself.

If not directly, the protocol spec is laid out that might be worth using. It's mostly described here: https://github.com/pi-hole/pi-hole/releases

one key feature is the ability to manually verify the message (linking directly to the proof on the external site, like the actual tweet) and for users to revoke proofs latter on. Is that something handled by sybl?

I am personally interested in the gyroscope project and I have been with them from the beginning, but these challenges and strictures to remove airdrop hunters are too much and too strict, and all activists in this field are very dissatisfied. I hope the managers find a solution to this issue
