[1.12.2] Game crashes if certian potion effects get displayed on the HUD, such as the Splittering effect from Tinker's Splittering Trait. #10

The trait "Splintering II" becomes available if you have Ice & Fire installed alongside Tinkers Construct. If you hit a mob with this trait... the game will crash.

Steps:

  1. Get a Dragon Bone Tool that has the "Splintering II" trait.

  2. Hit a mob with the "Spintering II" tool.

  3. Await the crash that occurs the moment you damage the mob.

The trait "Splintering" which is from only Tinkers Construct doesn't cause this crash to occur when you attack mobs with that trait.

I am guessing that ToroHUD is trying to render a potion effect of some sorts in the HUD but can't find it or something.

Any updates for this crash? There's no config option to disable Potion Effects as a work around to avoid the game crash if it tries to render certain potion effects.

Sorry, that sounds annoying. I probably won't be working on this project for a while. If you haven't already, you could try out ToroHealth. That is the project this one was forked from. It doesn't have the potion effects at all.

I have... but some features aren't in Toro Health compared to this one. To name a few...

The Health Bars appearing above mobs when damaged.
The damage inflicted number being shown on the HUD.
The damage pop-off particle being hidden behind blocks, otherwise you can easily tell that there's mobs in underground caves... behind walls... etc.

I know it's been some time but by any chance could this crash be looked into? Mod's pretty much unusable if the hud tries to render certain potion effects which if that poiton effect renders... it instantly crashes the game.
