DCS crashes entire system with weird pixel static after mission is loaded.

I have followed this guide and also this post.

Currently I can open DCS to the main menu but when I try to start a mission with the instant action button, it loads for a while and then hard crashes my pc with weird colorful pixel patterns on both my screens.

I have to force my pc to shutdown by holding down the power button because my whole pc is unresponsive.

I am on Linux Mint using the Cinnamon DE running DCS with proton.

You may have more luck asking in the proton github repo issue instead of here.

That said, the few times I've had crashes like that (GPU issue leading to whole PC going down), the problem has been either drivers or mesa. Try upgrading one or both
