Cannot add new calendar #35
Comments
Not sure what goes wrong on your device, looks like a bug on Huawei's Android distribution :/ |
Bummer, still looking for a non cloud based calendar app then that is capable of exporting to a backup file. Offline calendar would have fitted the bill perfectly. |
I have exactly same problem trying to install on Nokia X model RM-980 software version 1.1.2.2. Android version 4.1.2 |
@zanteian Sry, but to be honest, this still sounds like a software problem. The Nokia X looks like an abandoned product. |
Same problem - Samsung Galaxy S Advance i9070, phone has CyanogenMod installed, Privacy Guard disabled. |
Same problem. Running Cyanogen Mod 13. No Google account, apps or services. I noticed that when I go to Settings > Apps > Offline Calendar, the permission for calendar access is disabled. Could it be that Offline Calendar is trying to access some deprecated API call? |
same problem - android 5.1 Fairphone Open OS |
I can confirm that for a Samsung Galaxy S5 running CyanogenMod 13 (Android 6.0.1) without Google account or apps, it's impossible to edit existing calendars or add new ones. I didn't forbid any actions, neither with Android's built-in features nor with XPrivacy. Had to switch back to CM 12.1 (Android 5.1.1) for now, because no offline calendar is no option. :-( Is "Android bug (upstream)" = "Wontfix"? Or does it mean, this bug has been reported to other developers? If so, could you point us to the bug report? Or, in case it hasn't been reported yet, tell us where to do so? |
Offline Calendar cannot add a new calendar, it suggests that I deactivate Privacy Guard when running CM or that Imake sure the app has read/ write access when running App Ops on Android 4.3.
Well, I'm running the Manufacturers Stock Android 4.1.1 on a Huawei Y300-0100. No Google Account and most of the Google Apps deactivated. I reactivated the Google Calendar app and even the Google Account manager, but still can't create a new Calendar. Is there something else Offline Calendar needs to function properly?
