No thoughts on fixing this? If you have multiple objects that overlap and you export all objects as one STL it combines and adds them into one file without a problem. But if one of the objects is a negative part it doesn't subtract it like it should but adds it like it was a regular . I would think this is a simple bug to fix and wouldn't be hard to fix but I have no idea. I do know if would be helpful for me if it created an STL file that looks like the object when sliced that includes a negative part. |

I've combined multiple objects before and then "export all objects as one STL" which combines them into one part.
However, I've been trying to do the same except with one object being a negative part and it doesn't export a part that looks like what I get if I slice it instead.
Maybe I'm asking too much and there is probably a better way but I'm not sure what it is. I'm basically trying to create the negative space that can be printed and used as a plug in a mold. Or combined with a model as a negative part so when it's printed it will fit on the same part that was used as a negative. I'm not explaining this very well but hopefully you get what I'm trying to say.
If this is a possibility I think it could be helpful. At least to those of us that don't have expensive software and are trying to work with existing STL files... Or at least don't know how to otherwise.
Thanks!
