I was wondering if the program supports constraining mouse movement. If not, here is a suggestion pulled out of many drawing utility and photo editing programs playbook. I believe photoshop is one such example.
There are times when constraining mouse movement to horizontal-only or vertical-only comes in handy. Many programs in the graphics arts do this by either holding down the alt KEY or CTRL key during mouse movement. This can be helpful in a number of use-cases but the specific one I had in mind was when painting a seam and wanting to get a straight line.
Now alternatively, I have been able to do this in the Windows OS using the baked-in MouseKeys utility function but it is a clumsy workaround at best. Also, it obviously doesn't support across platforms.
