Goals:

  • protect our users data : ensure maximum user data privacy (server compromission/data leaks/ransomwares)
  • offer low-barrier entry for developers who want to add e2e encryption features to their web apps
  • dont sacrifice UX for privacy (transparent encryption and keys management)
  • make recovery keys unloseable (trust the group? backups...)
  • real-time e2e messaging ?

Non-goals:

  • applications with high data-volumes
  • native mobile web apps
  • full offline
  • CRDT
  • voting systems
