When importing ASCII .stl files into Sketchup, a bunch of errors occur and the object, no matter how small it is, gets completely distorted.
Could you please add an option to import ASCII .stl files?
In order to check this, you could use Beegraphy.com to produce a simple .stl (so far, Beegraphy only exports .stl in ASCII format). A cuple of boxes will do it.
Right now I'm using Blender to import the Beegraphy (ASCII) .stl file and then export it (without changing anything). The exported .stl file from Blender is a Binary file so it imports into Sketchup with no problems at all.
