I haven't tested it, but is there a reason why only x86 is officially supported? I would like to use osk-sdl with a One Plus 6T.

Because Arch Linux targets x86_64 by default.
Arm requires way more specific setup. Take a look at https://github.com/dreemurrs-embedded/Pine64-Arch/tree/master/PKGBUILDS/danctnix/osk-sdl for clues
