Hello,

Here you can find an exemple of a HeadingLine in a RunningTitleZone and of a DefaultLine in a NumberingZone:

This is the definition of a HeadingLine in SegmOnto guidelines:
It is a line containing any type of heading, which is defined as a string with a distinctive typesetting (font, size, colour, capitalisation…) different than that seen in the body of the text. It is not limited to the header. Rather the HeadingLine indicates the beginning of a new unit, no matter the unit's size, such as a medieval rubric, a speaker's name in a play, or the title of a poem in a collection. It is also used in the TitlePageZone.

This is the reasoning behind the choice:

  • The distinction between HeadingLine and DefaultLine is very useful in a MainZone, less in other regions.
  • Lines in a NumberingZone don't need a distinction between HeadingLine and DefaultLine. So: DefaultLine.
  • Lines in a RunningTitleZone could not need a distinction between HeadingLine and DefaultLine, but it is a type of heading. So: HeadingLine.

Do you agree?

Thanks for sharing SegmOnto guidelines!
