Incompatibility with Campfire Mods

I cannot begin to explain why this would be, but when Malum is installed, the following simple mods do not work:

• No Hostiles Around Campfire
• Healing Campfire

Fabric 1.20.1, no other mods installed that ought to be touching campfires. I've removed Malum, tested, added it back, tested, and it's always the same: no errors or anything, there's just no regen/mob repelling effects. It's weird.
