What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. follow the user installation procedure at: https://code.google.com/p/archimetrix/wiki/InstallationInstructions
  2. follow the instructions from the screencast on how to use Extractor: http://www.cloudscale-project.eu/results/screencasts/
  3. during the step for architecture reconstruction (Archimetrix > Start Architecture Reconstruction) an error occurs, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A successful architecture reconstruction process will result in additional folder with the model files. Instead, an error message is generated.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS: Win 7,User Installation (Kepler)

Please provide any additional information below.
The described error happens with different projects that were tried out. The screenshot of the error message and the console log are attached to this issue report.

I tested the TPC-W example (/30_Project_servlets_mysql) after installing Archimetrix using the User installation. The Architecture reconstruction (step 2) worked correctly. I didnt get the reported error.

I attach the list of Installed software in my Eclipse. Please compare the versions with your Eclipse.

Thank you for the reply. I've compared the provided installation details with mine. It seems to me that everything is the same. The screenshot of installation details is attached.

This is strange. Do you use the default values for the SoMoX parameters (in the tab SoMoX configuration)? Or you change them?

I use the default, and I have not tested different parameters.

Yes, I use the default values. Everything is done following the screencast from the step two in the issue description.

The only thing that is done in SoMoX configuration is adding "java" to the blacklist, everything else is set to the default values.

I just updated the Archimetrix feature from the update site. And I tested again locally on my machine. It worked with no errors.
Please, update the Archimetrix feature in your Eclipse (by going to Help->About Eclipse->Installation Details, select Archimetrix feature and press update). Then, test the new version, and let me know whether it worked.

I still get the same error after the Archimetrix update. Also, in the meantime I tried the whole installation procedure from start, again with the same error. I'm going to try the Developer Installation now. If you need additional logs, let me know.

I have looked in the update site again. I think Modisco and QVTo should be installed separately in the User installation. Also, some plugins from medini, caused some errors in the update site, so now I excluded them, and the user should download them manually.

All these changes are now updated in the User installation. I again tested this on my machine locally, and it worked. So, please check this, and let me know if there are still some errors.

In case, that this is urgent for you, I suggest that you use the Developer installation. There you have all the source code of all projects that are required for Archimetrix.

Can you please check if the Archimetrix update site link is correct?

By following the one currently provided in the user installation instructions(https://archimetrix.googlecode.com/svn/branches/ArchimetrixForKepler/ArchimetrixUpdateSite/) I get 404 Not Found response.
