KDE Plasma + NVidia + Different Refresh Rates FIX
#######################################################################
Step 1:
sudo nano /etc/environment
paste the following and save:
KWIN_X11_REFRESH_RATE=144000
KWIN_X11_NO_SYNC_TO_VBLANK=1
KWIN_X11_FORCE_SOFTWARE_VSYNC=1
CLUTTER_DEFAULT_FPS=144
_GL_SYNC_DISPLAY_DEVICE=DP-4
_GL_SYNC_TO_VBLANK=0
Please check on what DisplayPort your higher frequency display is connected. In my case it's DP-4. If it is something different, you have to correct the in the above mentioned variables on "_GL_SYNC_DISPLAY_DEVICE=DP-WHATEVERYOURDPIS"
#######################################################################
Step 2:
sudo nvidia-settings
In the "OpenGL Settings" section you touch these options
Sync to VBlank: OFF
Allow Flipping: OFF
Image Settings: Quality
Enable Graphics API Visual Indicator: OFF
In the "XServer Display Configuration" section, set the Hz and resolution for each display, click on the "Advanced" option (in each of the displays) and check the "Force Full Composition Pipeline" options and uncheck the "Allow G-SYNC on monitor not validated as G-SYNC Compatible" after that click on save.
Then, in X Server Display Configuration hit "Save to X Configuration File" and UNCHECK "merge with existing file"
#######################################################################
Step 3:
System Settings -- Hardware -- Display and Monitor -- Compositor
Allow apps block composition: OFF
Scaling: Smooth
Latency: Force smoother animations
vsyn: Auto
#######################################################################
This should do the trick.
