I wonder if anyone tried running ebook-viewer from Calibre project, or even the Calibre library itself?
I'm asking because InkBox (Quill?) might be a solution for browsing highlights made using calibre's ebook-viewer on a portable e-ink device.
Cross-software sync of annotations is not bound to happen anytime soon, due to a lack of standard for them, so this might be a great alternative for those using Calibre.
Calibre is in the alpine repos. If somebody tried, could you please share your experience? How usable it is? Can you import books, open them and make highlights?
