We have our own BIM, FEA, structural design and detailing software. It is developed by me and Proektsoft for many years. But it is not free and open source. That is what we do for living. (Someone has to pay the rent ;) It is widely used in our country, but it is not translated and not applicable elsewhere.

Wow, that's look a great piece of software. Here in Brazil we have a National jewelry called TQS, www.tqs.com.br, it's specially developed to buildings, have it's own BIM, CAD etc. The concrete detailing Tool is unique. If interest you, i can send some drawings.

They are expanding to overseas markets like USA and Argentina now. Why you don't do the same?

Today i work with Bridge Design and assessment of underground structures (like metro, tunnel etc) for a structural consulting firm , and have my own office to do other structural jobs with my team, like buildings, telecomunication towers etc.

Unfortunately we dont have any national software for this type of structures.

In the free time i teach about Bridge and Reinforcement Concrete. I always talk and recommend Calcpad and Smath tô my students.

@hildebrandopsj, thank you for sharing! I did not know this software. It looks very advanced and many features are quite similar to ours.

We do not have the required resources to expand. We are a very small country and our business is very small too. It is just me and my wife now. :) But we have a good ecosystem of dedicated users that we support and upgrade for many years for a small subscription.

Yes, almost eight years of teaching. I have two chairs in university, Bridges and Complementary concrete structures (Pile caps, Deep Beams, Footings, Corbels etc).
