The generic USB driver of 4.6a seems to be pretty stable on most systems except
the ones with VIA chipset based motherboards - for example, MSI MS 7312. The
driver seems to be pretty stable on Intel chipset boards.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. add "usb --init" as the first line in menu or manually invoke the driver.
2. Driver will load successfully and loading floppy images seems to work. But
it will fail to load any WinPE 3 or WinPE 4 based images. For example, "Windows
7" or "Windows 8" setup ( chain loading Bootmgr ). Booting will hang at
"Loading files" screen forever.
3. PE will boot fine if the USB driver is not loaded ( although the loading
speed will be slower ).
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
All versions of 4.6a seems to be affected.
Please provide any additional information below.
This issue is persistent with all VIA chipset boards. So far i tested multiple
VIA chipset MoBos from MSI and BIOSTAR.
I attached "CPU-Z" log of MSI MS 7312 MoBo which contains details about BIOS
and USB including hardware id information.

Interestingly, the alternative USB driver of "Plop Boot Manager" also doesn't
seems to work on these motherboards. Selecting USB boot option from "plop" will
cause it to hang forever.
