What does "Connection Status" actually mean in webui and how to navigate troubleshooting?

When webui says connection status is active at the top-right all seems right with the world. I can search models and download to my heart's content. When connection status says that it is not active I cannot. So, it clearly (to me) shows that the icon means connectivity to huggingface. However, I do not see in the terminal where a disconnection occurred, nor that it is retrying, or a potential cause of the disconnection (as in an error of any type).

How do I go about troubleshooting the disconnect icon and attempt re-connection?
