Overlook session - Protect call but ignore session activity

Does the OIDC agent have a way to protect a location but not update the session timeout and affect the user activity?

Use Case:
A backchannel API call to retrieve information to keep a value updated. This call needs to be protected but this call is not a user direct call. So we need to protect and session activity is not affected by such call.
