Dear @icnosvbovwb, It sounds like you are asking about how to solve standard hydrodynamic wave-body radiation and diffraction problems in the frequency domain. You can use commercial software such as WAMIT or AQWA or open-source software such as NemoH, Capytaine, or HAMS for that. We often use WAMIT or HAMS at NREL. FYI: The frequency-dependent radiation and diffraction loads are inputs to the HydroDyn module of OpenFAST when using the potential-flow solution; within HydroDyn, these are transformed to the time domain via frequency-to-time domain transforms. Best regards, |

Dear @YingyiLiu This is first order wave excitation force and RAO with different degrees of freedom in different directions of OC4. I observed that the RAO of the pitch is not normal. Can you find out why? And overall, is it correct? |

Dear @YingyiLiu The spar/TLP/Barge Buoy. 3 result I calculated is also different from that of OPENFAST spar/TLP/Barge. 3. I am not sure where need to set it? Or is there any difference between the HAMS model and OPENFATS medel? |

Dear @jjonkman
Q1:How to obtain the first order wave excitation force with different degrees of freedom in different directions, such as (sway, surge, pitch)? The horizontal ordinate is the frequency. The longitudinal coordinates is the Surge Force.
Just like this picture
Q2:How to obtain RAO with different degrees of freedom in different directions, such as (sway, surge, pitch)? The horizontal ordinate is the frequency. The longitudinal coordinates is the Surge Rao.
