At OSC we use a splunk report generated off some logs to get number for our logins and session counts for OOD.
There has been a request to see if we could implement something like a simple app that allows admins to simply click a button to make a request for this information to be gathered, processed, and returned to the uesr's dataroot somewhere. This could get a bit tricky though given some permissions on the logs and the size of the logs that one would need to parse for this info.
The other strategy would be to simply to have an entry in our docs that instructs the admin on a CLI command the could issue instead to have this data gathered and landed in a file which has a default but could take an argument of where to land the data.
