if more than three columns are detected in the .DAT file or any other type of surface file, after an auto detection of columns, user should be able to assign the correct columns to X,Y and Z.

when there are only three columns in a file

  1. if a check box is not selected, automatic import should go ahead ( default behavior )
  2. if the check box is ticked then user should be able assign the auto detected columns to one of the parameters (X,Y and Z)

When there are more than three columns, the same check box can be ticked and then user can select which columns are the columns that represent X,Y and Z and the rest of the data are ignored then.

delimiters, comment parameters and .. can all be defaulted with possibility or change.
