You're right, sorry for that.
The latest user documentation for using LAREX can be found in the LAREX part of the OCR4all documentation here.

I'll look into adding this to separate documentation website but this might take some time.

Regarding setting up standalone LAREX using this script here would be the best option at the moment but I'll add a section regarding setting LAREX up to the documentation as well.
