Harvest metrics to monitor file-level performance

In a virtualized environment where a large number of VMs are running, I want to find and take action on VMs that are generating excessive storage I/O. Since there is no metric for file-based performance monitoring, it is very difficult to find the problematic VM among numerous VMs.

I need a harvest metric that shows the top 25 files as shown in ONTAP's FSA (File System Analytics) feature.

There are several ONTAP versions of NetApp gears in the data center. (ONTAP 9.13.x - 9.15.x)

hi @ceojinhak these changes are in the latest nightly if you want to try them out. To enable, edit your conf/restperf/9.12.0/volume.yaml template and uncomment the VolumeTopClients plugin. You will see a new section there named objects that includes client and file.

Import the nightly dashboards and on the ONTAP: Volume dashboard you should see two new rows
