I have a GeoServer setup to serve two layers, one is the blue marble and the other is some NAIP imagery of northern alabama. When navigating around in a simple web worldwind app the tiles appear to flicker and sometimes the wrong tile comes into view. I made a video showing the problem.
From 00:00 to 00:30 you can see the tiles "flickering" now because this was done during a recording they dont appear to flicker in the video rather it looks like they are loading in slowly, however when not recording they appear to flicker.
From 00:30 to end you can see that when the camera is moved slightly while close to the ground a coarse tile comes into view when the finer resolution tiles should be shown instead.

Expected behavior:
I have seen the web worldwind examples fade in tiles so that the change is less noticeable.
