🌐 Setting Up Your GitHub Account

If you're new to GitHub, this guide will walk you through creating your GitHub account, which is essential for participating in our network.

Note for Experienced GitHub Users: This and additional guides are aimed at beginners using the GitHub web UI. If you are familiar with other methods of using GitHub, please proceed in a way that's best for you.

🚀 Step 1: Visit GitHub

  1. Open Your Web Browser: Navigate to www.github.com.
  2. Go to Sign Up: Find and click the 'Sign Up' button, typically located at the top right corner of the page.

📝 Step 2: Create Your Account

  1. Enter Your Details: You'll be asked to input your email address, create a password, and choose a username.
    • Username Tip: Choose a username that you can easily associate with your Light Node or organization.
  2. Verify Your Account: Follow the steps provided by GitHub to verify your new account. This may include solving a puzzle or confirming your email address.

🌐 Step 3: Engage with the Network

Participation is key to the success of our network. Engage with other members by visiting the Discussions forum. Introduce yourself / organization, share insights, engage the community, and collaborate on ideas.
