    • I think my problem is NOT with youtube-dl
    • I've verified and i assure that I'm running youtube-dl-gui 0.4

What operating system do you use ?

Microsoft windows 7 home premium service pack 1 64 bit.

List of actions to perform to reproduce the problem:

  1. Open youtube-dl-gui-0.4.
  2. Go to the settings.
  3. Click update.

What is the expected behaviour ?

It should update youtube-dl-gui-0.4 and say "successfully updated".

What happens instead ?

It says "Youtube-dl download failed [<urlopen error [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:661)>]". (See attached screenshot.)

Feature request (request for a new functionality)

Please make sure that the requested feature is NOT already in the TODO list

Please provide youtube-dl-gui-0.4 with an option to automatically update it.

What operating system do you use ?

When you open youtube-dl-gui-0.4 and try to update it, it says "Youtube-dl download failed [<urlopen error [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:661)>]".

Is there a way to fix that? Thanks, and have a great day.

This project is abandoned. There are active forks here and here.
