I'd also really like a solution for HDMI out on the alien-ware M11XR3. Please help! |
*** BUMP *** apparently ... but this is also probably not the best place to make such a post. BUT .... if someone solved the problem. |
I agree this is actually quite a showstopper. It would be amazing if this could be resolved somehow. thanks |
Did any of you made a post on Ubuntu forums ? On Wed, Oct 26, 2011 at 9:48 AM, Camelcase <

Ok Guys, I got it to work, check out my little howto here http://itviking.net/blog/m11xr3-bumblebee-and-the-dual-screen-setup It does run a totally separate screen though, no twinview but it's good enough to work on it :-) |
Dude, If you did it, I owe you a drink. Best and thanks for your hard work. On Thu, Nov 10, 2011 at 2:04 PM, Camelcase <

Hi all of you;
First congratulations for bumblebee, this is really making the difference.
I do have a naive question. I have an alienware MX11 R3 and you guys helped me already quite a lot.
It remains that I REALLY wish to use a double screen, I believe that it needs to get the card activated but did not get succesful yet.
The problem is that the second monitor is not detected. I thought that running 'optirun gnome-display-properties' would have help .... but obviously it would have been too easy.
Does anyone would have an idea ????
Best regards
Ben
