And more importantly, for this ticket, enabling the Windows Hyper-V feature.
This second step should be added to guide as this was required to get the network connection to work.
I believe, according to those who found this and reported on microsoft/WSL#7141 you can even uninstall Hyper-V afterwards if you want. But the act of enabling it was what was required to fix the network connection in WSL for us.
Hope this helps.

Thanks @Gav-Brown! I'll work with @craigloewen-msft in our next meeting to sort out how to represent this in the troubleshooting. Appreciate the contribution!

Suggestion to add extra "no internet access" step/solution to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/troubleshooting
Hi, on your troubleshooting page for WSL you have multiple sections that cover "no internet access" e.g.
In our use case, corporate laptop with VPN etc, we had no internet access after installing WSL and had to perform two steps.
/etc/resolv.conf
and/etc/wsl.conf
files.Hyper-V
feature. This second step should be added to guide as this was required to get the network connection to work.
