The Commodore 64 DTV first came out in 2004. It included extra bankswitchable memory, changes to graphics and sound, including new graphics modes and a blitter. It was also designed to be hackable and has had programs written for it. Some emulators support emulating one and having MiSTer support it is an obvious idea.
