Not resizing for mobile

Hi, I'm trying to get my header image to resize when viewed on mobile. So I downloaded the Adaptive Images plugin via wordpress, didn't see anything different. And then I downloaded off the website and followed instructions to do it manually, still don't see anything different. Is it just supposed to automatically resize my header image or am I missing a step or point? Thank you.
