Implement functionality to provide more meaningful variable names for census dataset features

The dataset metadata entries for variables contain much more descriptive labels, although they're too long to be good variable names. The original variable names are not interpretable. It would be ideal to engineer some feature in between those points (while also still being traceable to the original variable name).
