I am hoping to use MHKiT Loads for DEL calculations. I see that the damage_equivalent_load() function uses the fatpack package--why was fatpack chosen over the rainflow package based on ASTM?
One more question--would you be able to explain how half cycles are accounted for using the fatpack functions?

Hi there-
I am hoping to use MHKiT Loads for DEL calculations. I see that the damage_equivalent_load() function uses the fatpack package--why was fatpack chosen over the rainflow package based on ASTM?
One more question--would you be able to explain how half cycles are accounted for using the fatpack functions?
Thanks!
