  • I have read and understand the MAGIC Monero Fund documents.
  • I have read and understand the relevant MAGIC Grants policies.
  • I understand that should I be in a position to receive funds from MAGIC Grants for any reason, I will need to provide identifying information to the organization privately. Election to a committee does not guarantee compensation even if compensation is made available, since MAGIC Grants has legal limitations on how it can disburse funds.
  • I understand that an active committee is the number one factor in a Fund's success.
  • I am at least 18 years old.

Hello fellow community members.

I’ve been a MAGIC Monero Fund (MMF) committee member for the past 1.5 years and wish to continue my service to the community. As the only incumbent running for re-election I hope to bring some learned experience about committee dealings, policies, struggles, and resources, while sharing a path forward.

Since the spring of 2023 the MMF has conducted successful funding campaigns for Monero/Monero-LWS development work from vtnerd and Dr. Nathan Borggren’s research into EAE attacks and transaction churning. The fund also sponsored a 2024 Monerokon Hackathon prize with the winning submission receiving $2000 for a fast-sync implementation for the upcoming Rust implementation of node software for Monero, Cuprate.

On a personal note, I’d like continue to further documentation relating to campaign workflow, while continuing to work on campaign organizing and rollout.

I’m optimistic the MMF can continue to fund smaller projects and quarterly work while evolving into a role that secures and provides more yearly or bi-yearly funding for Monero developers.

Since its inception the MMF has made significant in inroads funding both research and development, but it has also faced struggles during these campaigns and has work to do to fortify itself as a recognized resource and long-term contributor to the ecosystem.
