#I think should change the operation of the application to be really effective.
-The control of play/pause button should have it only the host.
-Pressing play button player random contents of multimedia folder selected in mopidy and includes user requests.

Sincerely

Hi!
The main goal of this module is to provide an easy way to every guest to set tracks on the current mopidy playlist in a fair way. Tracks sources are set in mopidy configuration.

Could you please elaborate this issue? Should the module play random tracks when the track queue is empty?

I use ampjuke in jukebox mode usually and these two issues are basic so that music always play.
-If a user can stop the music, will stop it. Murphy's law
-If only users adds music, there will be many silences.
You can add rules that limit how many times a song sounds;-)

Thanks

Agreed. I'd almost like to limit the stop function to CLI only.

Also, it would be an incredible feature to have a "default playlist" XML, etc. file that is loaded when the current queue < 1.

Are this enhancement added? It would be real nice to leave a playlist rolling and led people just to add music "to play next" and then continue with the playlist.

Thanks!

This enhancement is not available, and I've not planned to add it yet. But I would be very happy to accept contributions towards this feature!

With the latest version (1.1.0), you can add songs from another source (for example via Iris or an MPD client) and mopidy-party will play these tracks after user tracks are done. Thanks to @girst and review by @Lesterpig

  • This is a sort of solution to the enhancement request. It's not a mopidy-party only solution, but requires interaction with mopidy through another client.

I'm personally working on a simple addition to mopidy party that will allow configuring if you want the pause-button or not. I will share this as a branch or fork in this weekend, if my time allows! :)
