@patchthecode I'm doing what I can to ensure all the Kitura projects still build, compile, and pass tests. However I'm not actively developing SwiftKafka since I'm not really familiar with Kafka. If you or anyone else out there is interested in continuing development for it, I'll do what I can to support you!

Unfortunately, i know more about redis than Kafka. Maybe you can update this on the main page. I'm sure open more knowledgeable devs would to love to continue this project as Swift is a good language, and Kafka is pretty popular.
