Hi,
I believe this artifact had been spotted before, but I don't know if it was resolved. There is this weird step function in a couple spaxels in at least a few cubes (e.g. spaxel (11,35) in s161106_024002_kbb_020.fits (sky), spaxel (10,35) in s161106_a039002_Kbb_020.fits (nearby a bright star))
Do we know where it comes from?
Thanks!
JB

I haven't seen this effect before. Can you give more information as to the condition which it happens? Does it affect all spaxels? Do you see systematically elevated flux in the raw images for portions of the spectra?
