In a 3600sec stellar exposure, we identified strange behavior in one particular column, column 3251 in the L0 files. The anomaly was could not be from something in the light path due to the single column nature. We thought it might be related to the combination of high flux in an etalon line, such as an etalon line being hit by a cosmic ray.

This does not seem to be a common behavior, but is an example of a spectrum in which the implementation of a quality binary mask for pixel quality that is specific to every spectrum could improve RV performance.

@ashbake Maybe you have some thoughts about what may cause this.
