Code of Conduct

Purpose:

The purpose of Human Space Program's Code of Conduct is to ensure a safe, kind, and respectful environment for everyone!

Scope:

This Code of Conduct applies to all project spaces, including but not limited to the GitHub repository, discord server, and any future communication spaces not listed here. It also applies to people representing the project in public spaces. Don't be an ass. ;)

Expected Behavior:

All participants are expected to:

  • Be considerate, especially towards newcomers - consider the impact your actions might have on others.
  • Be collaborative - Work together to resolve conflicts and promote overall kindness.

Unacceptable Behavior:

The following are some examples of unacceptable behaviours:

  • Harassment
  • Abuse
  • Intimidation
  • Disrespectful behaviour, being an "asshole" in general

The following are not examples of unacceptable behaviours:

  • Respectful disagreements on different topics
  • Brief or "blunt" responses, although discouraged, are not forbidden.
  • Jokes, if everyone involved is okay with them.

Reporting Guidelines:

If you see or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it as soon as possible. Reports can be made on Discord (e.g. to katniss218)

When reporting, please include:

  • Who is being reported
  • What happened
  • Any supporting evidence (e.g., screenshots)

All reports sent in private messages will be handled with confidentiality.

Consequences:

Project maintainers are responsible for enforcing the Code of Conduct. Actions for violations may include:

  • A warning
  • Temporary or permanent ban from the community
  • Removal of inappropriate content
  • Other actions deemed necessary to ensure the well-being of the HSP community

Thank you for reading Human Space Program Code of Conduct! ❤️
