TBF killing performance

Hello, I wanted to play this game again, but when I install TBF (using SKIM64), I get really really bad FPS (between 0 and 5 in the menu).
Using task manager, I can see my GPU usage going straight to 100%. The game runs normally at 60FPS when I uninstall TBF.
Quick overview of my rig : [email protected], 2080Ti, 16GB - so it's not a "not enough powerful config" issue. Plus it used to work on my laptop (5700HQ, 970M, 12GB), so...

I noticied that the install doesn't provide any log (the last logs I have are from 2017 in d3d9.log). See my ToB folder here:

All the .ini are default. I have nothing in TBFix_Res.

I tried to uninstall/reinstall Special K and TBF many times, cleaning the game's folder, checking files using Steam. Nothing works.

Any help would be appreciated.

Basing on what has been discussed in the Steam forums, did you try disabling ansel? It's located here:
C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Ansel\Tools\NvCameraConfiguration.exe

Apart from that, I believe the author moved the logs, including d3d9, to the logs folder which is visible in your screenshot.

Same on Linux with Proton 7, a lot of [FrameLimit] [@] Framerate limit changed from inf FPS to 60.0 FPS in the tobfix.log
