Extreme lag with no researchers hired and tech nodes queued up #2457

As per title, only when the KCT window is open an extreme amount of lag is present. No errors appear in the alt+f12 console

to repoduce:
have 0 researchers
add a tech node to the research queue
go back to KSC scene and open KCT
