CSS minification problem

Describe the bug

Minifying a css file produces a one line file but the resulting file does not work.
Looks like the the beginning portion is truncated.

To Reproduce

1. Saved the css file while in the VSCode IDE
2. Right clicked Minify this document and preserve the original
3. New file is created
4. Problem is flagged in VSCode
5. Original, minified version and screen shot attached. Appended .txt to style.css filename to allow attachment.

Expected behaviour

I expected it to work - don't know how to troubleshoot why it didn't
