which will be needed to simulate the measured data reconstructed with the known-to-be-wrong geometry.

Update:

We think it best to implement the following:

Specify variation and calibtime for sim
Specify variation and calibtime for recon
Specify variation and calibtime for analysis

so that everything has to be stated and nothing is assumed.

check out the DEV branch for testing and let me know if it behaves as expected, please. It was implemented in commit 88428e7.
