Use openxlsx coerce function

In this SO it was asked why openxlsx2 treats tables differently than openxlsx. The answer to this is that openxlsx2 does not use the coerce function from openxlsx. This is an opinionated set of coerce functions to create data frames out of different data types. If one wants to make use of this in openxlsx2 it is possible to simply source this function from github.
